Mid-summer walk through the garden . . .

Shasta Daisy

Purple Butterfly Bush
{But we haven't seen very many butterflies this year}

Pink/Purple bell flowers
I love the way the bells just hang from the branches.

Yellow tree rose

Pretty little Violets

Day Lily
{This is the only orange in the garden ~ I just don't care for orange flowers, but the plants were free to us.}
Our gardens are white, purple, yellow and pinks ~ I love the way the colors look together, with different blooms from early spring thru fall.
Pink True Geranium
Easy to grow and spreads everywhere.

Golden Yellow Coreopsis

Sweet William
Purple Liatris
Don't you just love these fuzzy spikes?
Tall yellow spike flower
{Don't know what this is called, but it looks pretty on the picket fence and in bouquets.}
If you know the name of it, let me know.

Pink Cone Flower
{Just love these flowers}

And, of course, . . . my favorites . . .  ROSES . . .

Our rose plants are still struggling after all the rains; I hope to post more roses in the next garden post.

Thanks for visiting our garden.
Have a great week!
~ Julie

  1. Thank you for sharing your garden with me, all the flowers look gorgeous. Sorry to hear about the rain, we haven't had much in the UK for quite a while, well not here in Surrey, I think in Scotland and up North they have. Jackie in UK.

  2. I loved taking a walk in your garden. I have shasta daises all over my yard. My niece gave flower packets at her wedding a couple of years ago and I took all the left overs and planted them all over! They make me happy. I have cone flowers too...they make me smile too! Some of your flowers I have never seen. I guess we can't grow everything here!

  3. Love, love the shasta daisies and butterfly bush. I have failed on numerous occasions to overwinter both because of our wet clay soil. Will just have to enjoy your photos!

  4. Julie - your garden looks beautiful. Thank you for the tour.

    I think your yellow spikey flowers are goldenrod. You could certainly google it and see more pictures and descriptions. I believe there are many different varieties.

    Take care - Lisa

  5. Your flowers are gorgeous! I have had such a problem here in Florida as it has been soooo hot! The local newspaper is coming today and I bought some new hanging plants for the patio hoping I could keep them alive for 24 hours! Thank you so much for stopping by and sharing in my publishing joy!!

  7. Hey Julie ~ Beautiful photos! Beautiful garden! Of course, my fav are the roses, too. I could just sink right into the photos you posted of them. Our roses are not happy this summer, either. Too hot, too humid, and too much rain. Poor things...But you brightened my day with your flowers! :)
