We're back from New England! It was such a lovely trip,
and I have so many pics to share!
and I have so many pics to share!
With only a few days left before the Heisen House Vineyard Crush Event, I had to get busy finishing up projects for our vendor booth . . .
[I'm also linking this post with Southern Hospitality's last 'Thrifty Treasures' blog party for the year, so I'm highlighting some of our thrifty finds.]

Found this Globe Pottery Fibre sugar & creamer dated from 1889-1910 at an antique store for about $6. I love it ~ and I'm glad it didn't sell, so now I can keep it!
Our potting bench became an entry table with a bowl of dried lavender
for sale by the scoop, ceramic monogram balls, glass magnets, business cards
and some vintage enamelware we found in New England.
vintage oval tin found at a flea market for 99 cents; couldn't pass it up for a dollar,
and it looks great for fall; the teacup was free from an aunt's estate
A vintage suitcase we found in Connecticut for only $5
behind the dresser is some rolled up rusty fencing we picked up at a garage sale for FREE;
we saved it from metal recycling
flower bouquets from our yard and a silver tea set
on the rustiest, chippy table ever that we got for FREE from an estate
An old vintage door, FREE from an estate, became my store sign with the
panels painted with black chalkboard paint
My sweet hubby came up with the idea of the white painted birch
branches that are hanging on the chix wire backdrop. I love them!
white dresser was a craigslist find for $10, and we painted it shabby white
It was a beautiful 80 degree day, at a pretty vineyard, with good company, friendly shoppers and great food by Galeotti's Restaurant in Battle Ground. A big thank you to great friends, Timm and Vyanna, for sharing their vendor tent with us and helping us all week long! Several items pictured will be available in my new etsy store opening Oct. 1. Let me know if you see something you would like to purchase.
This week I am busy helping with a Haiti fund-raising auction at Starting Grounds Church & Coffee House in Battle Ground, WA. If you live local, come check it out Saturday, October 2, from 5-8 pm; auction closes at 7:30. Great people, great coffee, beautiful art gallery (and you can meet the artists), in a relaxing, antique setting with a nice selection of items to bid on, including original art from local artists. All money raised goes toward building supplies for a construction team going to Haiti in March, 2011. There are still great needs in Haiti.
Starting this week, I will be posting pics of New England!
Hope you have a great week! I will have some time for blog visiting :), so I'll see you soon.
Thanks for visiting.

Welcome home! Your space looked lovely, and the sun shining made everything even more wonderful! I just sent out an email to several of our consignors in the shop to see if they wanted to participate in the Rummage Sale at Starting Grounds in a few weeks..didn't know that you were helping there this weekend! I wanted to come tonight, I love silent auctions, but I've got a previous commitment..maybe you'll be around for the rummage sale? Lisa ;-)
