Welcome to our Home for Christmas 2010 . . . please come inside

Today I'm sharing the inside of our home for Christmas. Thanks for stopping by. I hope you're having a wonderful Christmas season. Enjoy your stay.

our entryway . . .
 a 3' tree used by our daughters in college;
now placed in a red toile bucket and covered with vintage shiny brights
. . . the theme ~ you just can't have too many shiny brights, and size doesn't matter :)

the living room
A collection of nutcrackers; love the ones made in Germany,
and a vintage ceramic tree from my husband's mother.
the dining room entrance garland is decorated with our collection
of White House historical ornaments
the dining room
 inside the large gold frame {a craigslist find ~ minus the broken mirror}
is a collage of our daughters' wedding pics

the kitchen
a mini bottle brush tree with vintage style cooking utensils is the
table centerpiece in the nook
a little vignette showcasing the wonderful sheet music giveaway I won from
Arbor House Lane; thank you, Alaina!

Thanks so much for visiting us this Christmas.
Wishing you a blessed and wonderful season with your families.
May you know the real reason we celebrate and what all the Christmas carols are singing about, the birth of Jesus.

What a surpising joy blogging is.
I appreciate every visit and comment, and I look forward to visiting and chatting with you.

Merry Christmas!
~ Julie

Today I'm linking with some Christmas home tours at:

  1. Your home is so lovely, Julie! So welcoming and festive~ I love all your holiday decor and fun decorating ideas! Thank you for sharing!

  2. Everything looks so pretty! And I love your powder room. Thanks for sharing your home with us! :-)

  3. Hello Dear Julie: Thank you for the invitation and I'm so enjoying the visit that I think I'll stay awhile! Your home is so festive and charming for the holidays, you've done a fabulous job with the decor! You haven't left any space untouched and sparkling with Christmas Cheer! Happy Holidays; I've LOVED the tour! xox

  4. Your powder room is gorgeous. Love the toile wallpaper. My Mom used to have one of those ceramic Christmas trees. Very cute!

  5. I love your decorations and see somethings that I have. I love your bold room colors. Do these rooms get a lot of light? When we put the porch on the front of our house it made the house darker. so I go for white walls and dark wood work but love the red on your walls.

  6. Everything looks so magical, but cozy too! Just the way things ought to be at Christmas!

  7. Your home is just lovely! You've done a marvelous job dressing it up for Christmas. Thanks for the tour and I hope next time you're in New England, you'll have time to visit the store. So glad you stopped by my blog.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

  8. You have a very lovely home, I love all the decor! Your tree is gorgeous. I have to say I love the wallpaper in the powder room. Thanks for sharing.

What a beautifully decorated home you have! I love all of it, could not possibly choose just one thing... Beautifully done! Thanks for sharing your home with the rest of us.

    Hugs and love, Merry Christmas,

  11. At first I thought these were magazine pics-everything looks soooo good-simply wonderful!

  12. Julie, LOVE every bit of your home and decorations down to even the powder room!!! It's all just lovely and so my taste as well!! Looks like you will have a beautiful Christmas!!!

  13. Julie, I am in love with every inch of your Christmas house, inside and out! You have such a beautiful home. That huge tree is amazing. I loved seeing that you decorate your gazebo as well. I try to light mine up every year.
I see you have family in Boise. That is where I grew up, and my daughter, brother and sister live there. Do you live in Idaho?
Thank you so much for coming by and taking a peek into my home too.

  14. Julie - walking through your house is like wandering through a Christmas winter wonderland! It's so beautiful! My fav is your powder room. What a pretty little jewelbox of a room! Your tree is just amazingly beautiful, too! Nice job! Have a blessed Christmastide! ♥

    xoxo laurie

  15. Love the sheet music tree and wreath. The picture in the bathroom is simply elegant! You home was so nice I came and stayed for awhile taking in all the beauty, comfort and ideas. Merry Christmas!

  16. I enjoyed the tour through your lovely home. Your collection of genuine nutcrackers is stunning. I wish you would show us more pictures of them.
Merry Christmas and greeting from Europe!

  17. That tree in your foyer is gorgeous and what a sweet reminder of your girls! I enjoyed the tour.

Thanks for joining the "Tour of Homes" party! Merry Christmas!

  18. Julie, what a treat to peek inside your lovely home! I love all of your trees, but your Victorian one is a real beauty! Don't you just love it when something you've wanted to do for so long finally comes together?! You said you couldn't find gold beads... I think I remember seeing some in an auction box I picked up. I'll see if I can find them and send you a pic if I think it's anything you might like. I suspect that if I like them, you will, too - haha! -- but I don't need any more. I know it's too late for this year, but you could pack them away and have them ready for next year... I'll let you know if I remember correctly! Merry Christmas and God's richest blessings to you and yours!

  19. Everything looks wonderful, especially love your vintage ornaments! Hope you had a wonderful day!
