Found this bundle of rusty garden fencing . . .
curbside while visiting New York . . .
Carried it on the subway {lol} and
packed it in a suitcase to get it home.
Inspired by its green color,
I decided to make a tree
which can be used inside or out . . .
. . . I took it to Junk Fest to display ornaments.
Hope you're having a great start to the New Year!
I will be sharing a few back posts
from Christmas crafting.
I've currently taken on the role
of redesigning a thrift store and adding a coffee shop,
so I will be somewhat MIA from blogging
and won't have much time to blog visit
over the next few months,
but I hope you'll keep in touch.
I will catch up when I have some free time.
I may do a few posts on the
thrift store project as it progresses.
It's a great opportunity, and all proceeds
benefit a local family shelter.

I love this idea! I want to make something like it to display some collectible ornaments. I think sometimes special ornaments get "lost" on a Christmas tree.
ReplyDeleteThis makes a great "tree." Surely I have some rusty old fencing tucked away! Please don't stop blogging! Just a note of inspiration per month keeps you in the loop and everyone happy!
ReplyDeleteHow creative, Julie. Enjoy your new adventures.
ReplyDeleteHave a beautiful week ~

That is just so creative! I really like that. I laughed at the thought of you carrying it on the subway. That sounds exactly like something I would do.
ReplyDeleteAnd my family would be clear on the other side of the car pretending that they didn't know me.
What a great idea. I have tons of this in my garage, thanks so much for linking up to VIF!
ReplyDeleteWhat a trash to treasure story!! It's beautiful Julie!!
