MEET SOMEONE NEW MONDAY ~ Little Reader Vintage

I'm excited to let you know
my youngest daughter, Whitney,
just opened a
vintage baby clothing shop on etsy,

Daughter Whitney and Sweet Granddaughter Tayvee

Now she is able to share her love of vintage shopping
and vintage clothing with others.
Her goal is for people to be able to buy vintage clothing
for their babies and toddlers without breaking the bank.
Whitney has also incorporated her name (Reeder)
and her love of reading into her shop [Little Reader Vintage]
and donates a percentage of all sales
to the Boise Public Library.
So when you buy from her shop,
you're also supporting reading and literature.

She carries clothing in size newborn through 4T,
shoes and some unique baby accessories.
She is selective on the items and styles she purchases.
Here's a sampling of a few items currently listed.

If you like any of these items or this style of vintage baby wear,
please check out her shop and let her know her mom sent you :).

Thanks so much for stopping by today.
I hope your week is wonderful!

Shabby Chic Cuckoo Clock

I've been wanting to alter a cuckoo clock . . .

 . . . paint it white

use real pine (spruce) cones

and give it a dusting of snow with
white and silver German glass glitter

before
after

We used a non-working cuckoo clock we found at an antique store.

Let me know what you think.
I'm selling this one in my etsy shop.

Hope you all have a lovely week!

15 Minute Cinnamon Rolls

Today I'm sharing a quick and easy cinnamon roll recipe.
They're great when you need a sweet treat or a friend is stopping by for a visit.

15 MINUTE CINNAMON ROLLS
 made from Bisquick

Use the recipe on the box for biscuits

2-1/4 cups Bisquick
2/3 cup milk
butter or margarine, softened
cinnamon/sugar

Mix Bisquick with milk and roll out on Bisquick sprinkled surface.
Spread with softened butter or margarine
and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar mixture.

Roll into a roll

Cut cinnamon rolls about 1-1/2" thick
Place in pan and bake at 375 degrees for about 15 minutes until slightly brown on top.

When still slightly warm, pour glaze over the top (optional)
GLAZE:
1 cup powdered sugar
water (just enough to be able to make a thick icing; it only takes a little, add a teaspoon at a time)

Enjoy!

Thanks for stopping by today.
If you have some quick sweet treat recipes, I would love to see them.
Thank you for your kind comments. If you're new to my blog;
I look forward to meeting you.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Last Day in New England . . . Coventry, Connecticut

[We just returned from a wonderful little trip to see our kids and granddaughter, Tayvee. It's always great to see our kids and get caught up on those baby hugs and chase Tayvee all around now that she's walking.]

I've been wanting to finish posting about our New England trip, so here is our last day in Coventry, Connecticut. We arrived in the evening at the Daniel Rust House, a charming 1800 house turned Bed and Breakfast. The owners have furnished it with beautiful period antiques and furnishings. We truly took a step back in time as we entered this home.

Up the stairs and through this door was our room . . .
Blue toile, an old painted raised panel wall with a fireplace; I was home . . .

The next morning we had a wonderful homemade breakfast in this
beautiful dining room

We kept seeing these rock walls around New England and discovered
they were placed here by slaves when clearing property to plant crops

On the way to the airport, we had time to make one stop, and, just by chance, we found this wonderful antique shop in downtown Coventry. It was bigger than we had time to shop; so after a quick run through, we came home with these treasures . . .

This tray we purchased at an estate sale a few days earlier for $1;
after coming home we found out it was from the late 1800's and probably worth $100.
I think I'll keep it as a souvenir from our trip.

Currently on our mantel (which I put on an earlier post),
a framed print from 1880.

Thanks for stopping by. I look forward to visiting your blog this week.
Hope you all have a great week!

A special thank you to Erin at I Heart New England, who helped us plan our trip.
