Where am I?

Where am I???

Definitely haven't been blogging . . .
or adding more items to my etsy shops . . .

but I have been busy . . . .
reorganizing and managing a non-profit thrift store

and adding a coffee shop.

A new concept . . .

free coffee while you shop . . .  at a thrift store.

I love being involved with new
projects that think outside of the box.

Here are a few pics.

Today is our unofficial reopening day.

Still working on a few details . . .
was excited to find these online

Gotta think about the big and small stuff.

I'm working with residents at a local family shelter . . .

helping them learn new job skills at the thrift store . . .

and learning new skills myself.

It's all good.

Hope you are doing well.
Sorry I won't have much time for blog hopping
in the near future.

I look forward to catching up on your blogs.

Thanks for visiting.
I appreciate your visits and comments!

  1. The Thrift Store looks great! Coffee, too! We have one in town that offers coffee... great idea. I am the same as you right now.... busy, busy and no blogging, no Etsy listings... that's okay!

  4. Good for you, Julie! What a rewarding job! I agree with Jenny - that's the cleanest, neatest most organized thrift shop I've ever seen! Bet you had something to do with that, didn't you? :) GREAT idea adding a coffee shop/lounging area! Brilliant!

  5. Julie, the thrift shop looks great! I'm glad you're enjoying your work, and I know it's making a difference in your community. Good for you! If you weren't so far away, I'd bring you a load of pretties to add to your mix since this is my year to de-clutter. Instead, I've opened up a second shop (www.myplaceshopping.blogspot.com) and am adding things as quickly as possible -- a different theme every week to keep me focused. It's keeping me so busy, and I've only just begun, but my goal is to sell it, simplify, and give more to the kids in Brazil. Should be a "win" all around! I hope your family is well. Two more months 'til grandson #2 for us. Can hardly wait!
