Junk Fest Flea Market

Here are a few pics from Junk Fest,

thanks to The Captain :).

We were very busy all day (yay!) 

I didn't get all the vignettes set up (thank you Captain for helping!)

We didn't sit down all day and sold lots.

 I made some paper map and sheet music dresses.

 Lots of farm stuff from my great aunt's farm.
(sorry ladies, for showing your back sides)

Front booth displays all put together by The Captain.
 

 I made up several dried lavender bouquets and even sprinkled

dried lavender on the ground. It smelled wonderful.

(Thanks for the idea, Vyanna!)

One lady came into our booth and had to leave

because she was allergic to lavender.

 Love this old wood house chix feeder; probably built by my great uncle.

I made several chalkboards and a burlap bulletin board.

This adorable dancing couple is now available in my etsy shop.

 It was hard to get a good pic of this, but I made a hanging light

from some old garden fencing. We sold it before the show started.

Queen Anne's Lace

Queen Anne's lace: wild carrot; it is often known as "Queen Anne's lace".  It is so called because the flower resembles lace; the red to dark purple flower in the center is told to represent a blood droplet where Queen Anne pricked herself with a needle when she was making the lace. The function of the tiny red to dark purple flower, is to attract insects. It is known as a noxious weed by the USDA.

But . . .

a pretty weed it is.

I think it's beautiful.

tomorrow!

Last week we helped with my great aunt's 

barn sale in eastern Oregon

and came home with a truckload of treasures

. . . . . and some of these treasures will be

going with us to Junk Fest.

 Lots of galvanized, rusty goodness.

The price tags are done

 and the gift bags have been stamped.

I still had a list of more things I wanted to create, 

but it's time to go.

I'll be posting pics of the Junk Fest.

Vintage Treasures . . . Round 1

Hi Friends, 

Hope you're all having a great summer.

I've been a little MIA, 
opening my new etsy vintage paper shop.
I have been very busy filling and shipping orders.

If you haven't checked it out yet,

I have a large selection of vintage papers and
have only begun to list things.

After selling a lot of our stock at the Expo sale,

we have been restocking our inventory over the

past few weeks; in Boise and around town.

We even found a few sales where we got to be 'pickers'.

While in Boise visiting our family, we came

home with two extra suitcases, a box and

a carry-on tote filled with vintage treasures.

Here's Round 1 of our treasure hunting.

 Love this set of vintage Paris framed prints

A 1920's globe and chippy enamelware

 some very old Japanese paper lanterns

 The red watering can is primitive; made from an old paint can

 Lots of vintage door hardware, knobs and a few skeleton keys,

only 25 cents each

A large stack of vintage white napkins already cleaned and pressed

These are old metal pencil sharpeners with moving parts
