A French Estate Sale

While estate sale shopping a few weeks ago,
we discovered we were at the estate of a French teacher.
She had a wonderful collection of French books and other items,
and we came home with these.

French books, maps, and Paris post cards

Love this beautiful print that is the cover of
a dated menu at a Paris restaurant from September 10, 1952.

Can anyone translate French?

If you can, please let me know. I would love to know what this handwriting says.

Sharing today with Voila French Inspiration at the French Cupboard
and Vintage Inspiration at Common Ground.

Thanks for stopping in for a visit!
Hope you're having a wonderful day!

~ Julie

Thanks for sharing! There are some online translators that could probably help you decipher the French words!! Let us know when you find out!
    Have a joyful day!

  11. I don't know what it is about French things, but they just have an allure or romance to them that is all their own.

Wish I remembered more than elementary French to help you out.

    Wonderful finds!

  14. Wonderful finds. The writing may not be French, but Spanish. It's really difficult to make out the writing, but do I see "para". and "los chilenos"? para could be "for" and chilenos is "chileans". Then again, chileans is not capitalized, so maybe I should eat my words lol!
Nevertheless, you have a terrific collection here.
