Welcome to our Home for Christmas 2010 . . . please come inside

Today I'm sharing the inside of our home for Christmas. Thanks for stopping by. I hope you're having a wonderful Christmas season. Enjoy your stay.

our entryway . . .
 a 3' tree used by our daughters in college;
now placed in a red toile bucket and covered with vintage shiny brights
. . . the theme ~ you just can't have too many shiny brights, and size doesn't matter :)

the living room
A collection of nutcrackers; love the ones made in Germany,
and a vintage ceramic tree from my husband's mother.
the dining room entrance garland is decorated with our collection
of White House historical ornaments

the dining room
 inside the large gold frame {a craigslist find ~ minus the broken mirror}
is a collage of our daughters' wedding pics

the kitchen
a mini bottle brush tree with vintage style cooking utensils is the
table centerpiece in the nook
a little vignette showcasing the wonderful sheet music giveaway I won from
Arbor House Lane; thank you, Alaina!

and some of our daughters' grade school artwork on display each year
by Chelsey
by Whitney

the family room

powder room
a Pottery Barn crystal bay leaf garland made into a wreath and
a vintage sled pic found at goodwill

 red toile guest room
a little rustic tree with faux red berries attached to the ends of the branches
on a vintage tv tray

shabby chic guest room
some vintage style white bottle brush snowflakes
{picked up a few years ago at the Macy's after Christmas clearance}
and a silver glittered winter pic

Thanks so much for visiting us this Christmas.
Wishing you a blessed and wonderful season with your families.
May you know the real reason we celebrate and what all the Christmas carols are singing about, the birth of Jesus.

What a surpising joy blogging is.
I appreciate every visit and comment, and I look forward to visiting and chatting with you.

Merry Christmas!
~ Julie

  5. I love your decorations and see somethings that I have. I love your bold room colors. Do these rooms get a lot of light? When we put the porch on the front of our house it made the house darker. so I go for white walls and dark wood work but love the red on your walls.

  13. Julie, I am in love with every inch of your Christmas house, inside and out! You have such a beautiful home. That huge tree is amazing. I loved seeing that you decorate your gazebo as well. I try to light mine up every year.
    I see you have family in Boise. That is where I grew up, and my daughter, brother and sister live there. Do you live in Idaho?
    Thank you so much for coming by and taking a peek into my home too.

  18. Julie, what a treat to peek inside your lovely home! I love all of your trees, but your Victorian one is a real beauty! Don't you just love it when something you've wanted to do for so long finally comes together?! You said you couldn't find gold beads... I think I remember seeing some in an auction box I picked up. I'll see if I can find them and send you a pic if I think it's anything you might like. I suspect that if I like them, you will, too - haha! -- but I don't need any more. I know it's too late for this year, but you could pack them away and have them ready for next year... I'll let you know if I remember correctly! Merry Christmas and God's richest blessings to you and yours!
